#IWD2016: International Women's Day

March 08, 2016 in Women & Girls, Social Good, Global Pain

"For all of the women that are swimming upstream in our culture of expectation, inequality, sexism and racism, my hope is that we will gloriously allow ourselves to be ourselves and to become limitless. The picture is changing. The template is expanding, because of us. We are in a time where our own freedom only needs a gentle touch to be awakened. … I don’t always feel fierce and fearless, but I do feel like I’m a rock star at being human.” -Tracee Ellis Ross

Here's to YOU rockstar. Here's to the beauty, magic, and power of your humanity. You are glorious. May you never forget it. May you be awakened to it. May you continue to expand the picture and be centered within it. May you always have the courage to face the struggles in your daily life even when you are afraid to do so. May you always find a way to thrive in spite of. May you always allow vulnerability to fortify and embolden you. May you continuously stretch forward to fight for and grab ahold of your freedom.

Happy International Women's Day.
